Grimes Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and director of the UGA Institute for Cybersecurity and Privacy. In the fast-moving field of cybersecurity, Perdisci works to stay current on the constantly evolving landscape of technological threats. While the rise of artificial intelligence has introduced new vulnerabilities, his research and teaching do not focus solely on those risks. Instead, he and his students explore how machine learning and artificial intelligence can strengthen security, including improving protections in web browsers that are susceptible to malicious social engineering attacks.
