Dr. Li obtained B.S. and M.S. of Agriculture Engineering from China Agricultural University and Ph.D. degree of Agriculture Engineering from Mississippi State University. He then was the postdoc of Departments of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering and Animal Science at Iowa State University.  His lab innovates in multimodality sensing (e.g., computer vision, audio, radio frequency identification, accelerometer, spectroscopy) and automation/robotics technologies to address practical needs/challenges in various phases of vertically-integrated poultry production systems and beyond. He works on an interdisciplinary interface and collaborate closely with biologists, poultry/animal scientists, computer scientists, and engineers.
